nice looking plant or crummy weed?

My wife and I are trying to figure out what this fast growing, fairly nice-looking plant is. I will try to get a picture of it, but I am not that computer savvy yet. It is a low growing plant--more vine like than a shrub. It has triangular leaves w/ serrated edges. On the top of the leaf the edges are a darker green surrounding a lighter inside color of green. The under side is all one lighter color of green. It has bunches of small purple flowers. It is aggressive. We would like to transplant to some other spots around the lawn unless it's some weed that we shouldn't want. I know this is a tough question, but any help would be great. Thanks

Everything is a weed is you don't want it. Its up to you if you want it in your yard or not. I'm not sure what it could be if its blooming right now, but if its bloomed earlier in the year and your just talking about it now its probably ground ivy (AKA Creeping Charlie). It will take over your yard and will be difficult to ever get rid of. If you like it go for it. It needs no maintenance and will always come back. It will spead like wildfire.

Did a little research on the web. This is actually a White Nancy or Spotted Dead Nettle (same plant). Does well in shade in acidic soils. This is exactly where mine is taking over. I think that we will try to spread it around the yard a bit.

If you have a plant that spreads by it's roots you can contain it by cutting the bottom off of a bucket or pail burying it where you want the plant and planting inside the bucket. this will prevent the plants roots from spreading. just make sure your bucket is deeper than the roots of the plant.
