Last minute Lac Seul Reports??

Leaving Friday for the Seul. Any updates? Fishing out of the Ear Falls side of the resevoir. Anyone ever take a day(wind day) and fish the river? (below dam) Worth the time?

I was up there the week of August 20th, but was down by Hudson/Long Lake area. Walleyes were holding in 20-25 ft of water. Don't know if this will help you much up by Ear Falls, but may give you somewhat of a starting point.

Thanks. Sounds like it is cooling down up there, so maybe they will be even shallower than that. Will update when I get back.

Great week was had by all at the Seul. Best fishing trip ever. Perfect weather, perfect fishing. Lots of walleyes, all sizes (biggest eyes were 24 inches), pike, and a handful of bonus smallies. Cant wait till next year.

Did you get a chance to fish the river?

No, but I wanted to. (Assuming youre talking below the dam, and not the rapids coming in) We planned on saving that for poor days weather or fishing wise. Didnt have either, so we stayed on the big lake. I heard they were doing really well below the dam though.

The dam has been great to us in the past, before they started doing the construction. Not to say fishing wasn't good this year, because it was. Not as many big fish as in years past.
