the landscape certainly is changing...no doubt the extended hot summer has speeded up the fall color change...I noticed a good percentage of the ferns have died off and on the ground(at least in my area) do to lack of moisture...unusual from past years....here's a few images from my local wooded area....jonny

Absoloutely gorgeous, jonny. Makes me wish I was up north this time of year. Looks like the colors will be early here this year but with the exception of the river valleys, it seems more short-lived and never reaches the magnitude in the north or SE MN.
