Ultimate matchup bass fishing

Anyone been watching this show on the outdoor channel? At first I thought it looked kind of dumb but I've gotten into it a little bit.

Wydlewal and myself hit a little lake yesterday for some lgmths. We thought we would make things a little interesting and try a 4 hr matchup. Each person gets a hour where he controls the boat and where we fish then it switchs. Kinda like quarters in a football game. We went by total length instead of weight for the bass sake. Plus we didn't have a no line cross, just normal respect.

It was alot of fun. I edged wal out 83" to 53" but he made a late run and had it within a 16in bass at one time. We caught 3 bass with 10 min left in the game. Made it very exciting. Sounds kinda goofy but give it a try. Highlite of the day was when I landed 21" bucketmouth on a char spinnerbait off of a steep cabbage slope. Now if I had only got him during the game I could of really buried wal

yeah that show is some good stuff. i also thought it was kinda lame at first but i'm diggin' it now. i haven't seen paul elias for years and suddenly he was fishing with Iconneli...i was said to see Elias finish second (last). I think I'm going to try that out with a buddy sometime soon.

If you have a partner and you fish competitively its a good way to keep both on thier "A" game. Just don't rub it in to much when your winning.
