mechanictim
Just wondering if anyone has ever tried some of the things that are shown on this show. I have seen this guy drink unpurified water and cook and eat bugs. He has had some good fire starting ideas but most of them I have never tried. Dan Thiem
I really like watching the show! But I've never tried to eat bugs, ground squirrels or snails. Last night he tried eating tumors of lilly pads. Pretty bad cause he Ralphed all over the place. On camera!
crawdad
I have tried the magnesium/flint stick he uses in another show. Works pretty good and you don't have to worry about getting it wet. Good program!

The Grebe
I've watched a couple episodes of that? One was pretty cool, the other was kind of simple? The simple one was about some survivor dude that spent all to much time trying to hand catch some slippery little trout out of some standing water pools....a pointed stick would have helped him out immensely! The camera cuts away, pans back and he has a fish and he starts eating on it like a ravenous Raccoon! He done some other simple junk also and I thought that the guy had been out in the boonies for awhile.....he said he was so lonely and didn't know if he could make it for the whole 3 days, or something like that? I switched channels!
