any one hunt MILLE LACS

has any of you guys hunted the big water, I typically hunt it opening day of deer season not hardly any one out their. but the last couple of years it was way to nice and warm to hunt it besides not many ducks . I hunted deer those years and was wondering if anyone gave it a try

I know a guy that hunted it a couple years back during ice up and couldn't keep the goldeneyes out of the dekes...

Might hunt it this year but we'll have to see. Last year was horrid for divers in my areas but I did manage my first canvasback ever--man did it taste good! Best duck I've ever had.

hey sartell angler yea a couple years back maybe three it was almost impossible not to get a bill or goldeneye they were all over it was a blast 12 gauge style . I also (then) shot a can the last day of season. it was 25 years since the last one. I'm hoping for cold wheather early that lake can be awsome!

how would you hunt that lake would you have to find some sort of state land right on the lake or what?

18ft big water jon boat with full avery reel grass blind in the cattails fools every time .

Years ago used to hunt right by the public access in Wahkon Bay, good shooting, haven't done it in years and not sure if you even could...I think you cold probably hunt out on them islands if you have access.

We were out there Musky fishin last weekend and Man was there Mallards along the North End sand.I wish we were duck huntin' boys
