Mexico/Florida fishing trip

My son would like a fishing trip for a graduation gift next June. We've talked about Canada, Mexico, Florida. I've posted on the Canada thread. My question here is about bass fishing in Florida/Mexico. Is June getting too late or too hot in those areas for fishing? I don't want to go there if the "action" starts to slow down.

Man what a grad present! I'm not sure that june is a great time to head south for bass but if that's the time frame you have to work with i'm sure you could have a trip of a lifetime regardless of the heat or 'slower' bite. Years ago I fished stick marsh and walk in water in florida and had a blast! there are plenty of great spots in florida but if I had the opportunity to head to mexico i would definately head to el salto. That is my suggestion. Check out some of the guides for el salto and see what they have to say about fishing june. I believe it's somewhat of a rainy season during midsummer and the temps are quite comfortable there...if i heard correctly. Congrats on the graduation and hope you have a great trip where ever you decide to go!
