Hunting Rivers

I am just curious if someone can hunt rivers for waterfowl, I am wondering about the Mississippi, between St Paul Park & Hastings, or else Pool 3 Hastings to Red Wing...

I have been hunting the Minnesota river for over 25 years . your away from the masses of hunters, and in the fall it is very scenic and relaxing down by the old river, great mallard hunting when everything else is froze solid.

Lots of guys hunt Spring Lake (Hastings to SSP) as well as all the way to Red Wing, there are lots of backwaters including North Lake and such, but there can be alot of pressure as well.

I hunt the Mississippi more than anything else...can't beat it for geese and for late mallards it can be great. Something about the big water keeps me coming back for more...

I used to hunt the missi by snuffys landing but now the observation deck always gets in the way. as in site see-ers I miss them days havent tried to many other places on the missi. well maybe some day..
