xedge2002
big time clean out. Really don't think they are losing much in Sadler, he never has been that good. Jarrett is getting up there in age probably going to retire in the next 2-3 years even with going to Toyota. Maybe just cleaning house getting rid of crew chiefs to start over with some fresh talent and preparing to bottom feed for the next year or so. lawdog
For once I'm with NAPA, RYR is in complete dissarray and I think they are in real danger of becoming a complete non-factor. They still have their alliance with Rousch, so I don't think they'll fold, but I could see them getting bought out by someone sometime if they don't DRASTICALLY improve and SOON. Sadler is a proven race winner and Jarret a former champion. You can't replace that with a 19 year old and a 30 year old who have TWO cup races between them... OUTDOORNUT
Yeah that is some house cleaning, but I think in order to find out what is wrong with that org. they need to look at EVERY aspect. Crew chiefs werent' doing it. Jarrett has had like 7 or 8 different ones and he still can't find the top 20. I really thought Labbe and Baldwin were going to help, but it must run deeper than that. I listened to Robert in an interview with Clair B. on XM the other day. He was completly bummed out when Dale decided to leave and when UPS went with, then Sadler asks for a release, but M&M's is staying. He said if M&M's would have bolted also he was ready to close the doors. He also said that Doug is the future and it sounds like Robert is going to let Doug set up the company his way this time around. So it only make sense for them to clean house and let Doug try it his way. Yates will be back, I don't see them running both Licht and Gilliland (I butcherd those names I'm sure) in the Cup cars full time. I could see Gilliland running both Busch and Cup, Licht running full time Busch, with a few Cup races and Ward Burton running full time in the 88 car. RYR isn't gone, they are just in the same position RCR was in for a couple years. Good drivers, good crews, sponsors, but just couldn't get the cars right. JohnMickish
Jack Roush racing sub-team number 2. I can almost believe with NASCARS rules on only having 4 teams that Ford has gotten into the mix here and we will see one or more of Jacks drivers over at RYR. I too agree that Sadler isn't a big loss and Jarrets past championship is worth more than he is.
NAPAFISH
I just read on Nascar that Yates has fired their janitorial crew too.
JohnMickish
They better not improve much this year or Mikey won't have anyone to race against.
NAPAFISH
I was watching a show about DW one day, he was talking to Bill France about something pertaining to his cars being to slow or something.Bill said "Darrell we've got to have slow cars so the fast ones have got someone to pass" Heres my rendition#55......................#24,#6,#9,#20,#48,#17,#8,#16,#
JohnMickish
It will be very interesting what the next few years brings to the sport. With the new teams and some new-old teams starting over. I can see it being very good and I can also see a trend where the young crybaby drivers will ruin things, like what has happened in the NBA and to several teams and markets in the NFL.
