I just bought a new Tracker last week. Bought it out of Bethel Marine, on Hwy 65.

It's going up to Park Rapids tomorrow, then when we get back, it's going back to the shop, the radio doesn't work, no AM. It's a first come, first serve type service place, you don't make appointments.

If I remember, I'll post my experience.

I'd post my experience with the previous mentioned location, but a check with the BBB says enough.

I think tracker and Service is a oximoron?!

We'll leave that discussion for another day. Every brand and every dealer has issues of some sort with somebody here and there. Some have good experiences with Dealer X, Y or Z while others have not with those same dealers. No need to rehash any of that as it's been done before. Thanks. wink.gif

Dropped my boat off yesterday around 10 am.

It's a new boat, radio doesn't work for dump, so I want them to fix it.

I could easily fix it myself by putting a real antenna on it, instead of the wire setup they have, it's just when you spend on the money on something new, I feel everything should work.

At this specific shop, it's first come first serve, regardless of your issue. I was told they're currently running 3 days behind right now, so we'll see how long it takes to get a new antenna mounted on this boat.

Hiya -

I'll second Bethel Marine. Bought my last two Trackers there, and they're great to work with. Family owned, and been in business for 40+ years, so they must be doing something right. Service guys are very good, no talk, and they'll be up front with you about what's going on.

Dealerships like Bethel thrive on repeat business. Only way they get it is with good service...

Talk to Wayne, he'll take care of you.

Cheers,

Rob Kimm

3 days? Is that it? Brought mine to St.Cloud, then they pulled it over/up to Minong,Wis...seems no one is "qualified in SC facility. So far, it's been a month to switch out the driver's console and put in a floor kit(struts & recarpet) and they're still not close to getting it done. confused.gif I guess that's what they call the "Preferred Maintenance Plan" that I paid extra for! Wonder how long this would take if I didn't have that...LMAO tongue.gif

Thanks for the heads up on a "shop with service"...looks like I'll be switching!!!

I'll update this post when"ever" they get it done and tell ya how they did.

Hutch -

I hate to tell you this, but I got my boat back today. 4 days to the hour. They put an entire new radio / antenna setup in it, the same one that's used in the 2006 boats.

I think the previous post hit in on the head, you might want to check out Bethel Marine next time you need service.

I guess I have something else to add now.

Obviously this could have easily been an oversight by the dealer, I do know they had a new guy pulling boats out of the service "storage" area.

I was putting an onboard charger in the boat this afternoon, and luckily I have a battery in the back end of the boat. While I was reaching my hand all different ways trying to thread wires in behind the wall, I looked over, and there's the plug for the boat.

Apparently the dealer forgot to make sure the plug was in when I picked up the boat. shocked.gifshocked.gif
