Dont forget the Aug.2nd deadline for those extra tags. One needs those does for the real good eating.I held myself back this year and only bought three.I still have my buck archery tag for hopefully another Pope&Young. Its been awhile since I harvested a bruiser with the bow.

The area I hunt should be great again this year.I dont remember a time when there were so many deer to hunt. One must enjoy this while it lasts.A couple hard harsh winters and it could be back to the norm.

You won't be able to buy a buck tag over the counter. Those are distributed via the lottery, for which you had to submit an application by March.

I'm not certain how it works for Archery on the left over doe tags. I know that after the 3rd lottery (what Harvey Lee is talking about) for the gun season you can purchase remaining licenses after that lottery over the counter.

I'm guessing that there are licenses available, running through the application process it still allows you to select that license, but I'd over them on line at http://www.gf.nd.gov

As a non -resident I buy my Archery tag which is good for a buck or doe via the internet this time of the year. You can also go to a license vendor and get them if they have them on hand.I use to get mine a Scheels in Fargo the day before we started hunting.

The extra doe tags I apply for by the zone you are hunting in.Those doe tags are good only for the zone they are assigned to.You can use those doe tags with a gun,bow or muzzle loader in thier season. The extra tags are 55.00 a piece through the lottery.

The rifle buck tags are only recieved by way of the lottery which is over.

For bow you can buy the license over the counter it does not need to be part of the lottery. You are entitled to either a buck or doe with it. They are available in many locations.
