You may need to turn up the sensitivity quite a bit to detect the thermocline with your unit. Also, turn the grey scale down to 0.

Also, depending on the body of water you're fishing, it may not have a thermocline.

Lakes less then 30 feet deep, and large bodies of water that "mix" naturally by wave and wind action do not typically thermocline.

this lake is about 380 acres and is about 60 ft deep with lots of underwater springs. the dnr says theres some large walleyes in there but am having a hard time finding them.

70% of the lake is over 30 ft deep , and i am marking alot of large fish at 35 - 45 ft deep . not sure what they are at this point , and was trying to eliminate some water with the thermocline deal
