hanson
Along those same lines, who makes a really nice call lanyard that I wouldn't mind plopping some $$$$ down on? There is a company called Duckstrap (I think) out of Iowa that makes some awesome leather game straps and I'm thinking along those lines. I've seen the Coyote Lanyards (I think thats the company) and they look nice but not quite what I'm looking for. Macks Prairie Wings had a nice lanyard I was going to buy last fall but they were out of stock at the time and apparently they are gone now. I can't find it listed on their HSOforum.Anyone have any thoughts? Favorites?Sorry to hijack your topic 'bear204' but it seamed like a good place to piggy back a question. Crusty old Swede
There was a small outfit that was up at gamefair now and again called magnum products that made custom lanyards. The guy that ran it was also active in the MN duck and goose callers asociation. What I use for my present rig is 1/8" bungy cord from REI or Gander. I sewed a loop of cloth to my hunting jacket and use what amounts to 8 to 10" fishing leaders made of the bungy cord to snap onto the loop. Tie the bungy to a snap swivel (for the coat end) and then tie the other end REAL tight to the call. Put a bungy on every call then you can change calls with no fuss at all. Bushwacker
hanson,I suffer from call additiction and with that comes lanyard addiction. I have bought custom lanyards from 8 different companies and I would recommend Widgnwhackers to anyone. Jeff Wallis is a top notch guy that will go out of his way to take care of his customers. You should definitely look him up if you are in the market for a custom lanyard. My personal favorite is the Widewhacker X-Change-a-Call Lanyard. It is under the new products on his HSOforum and it is the most innovative lanyard I own. You can switch out calls in a couple seconds while laying in the blind.
