It's a shame for Lariano, but AJ is hitting .328, 7th in the AL, and handling a pitching staff that has been eratic at best. He's very deserving.

Lariano is young and should be a future all star.....

Good to see such a great sportsman and role model like AJ get voted in. MLB will be better off for it. This man will be a huge asset to the AL roster and will guarantee clubhouse cohesion.

The sad thing is the white sox organization probably hired some temps for $10 an hour sit at a computer and vote non stop. The fans did speak. the people that actually care got on the first day and voted for the real all-star. But the the WSox probably stepped in to make sure thier guy got in. I personally voted 18 times, but then I got bored and realized it's not the end of my world if he doesn't make it.

I think its sad if someone has that little going on in thier life that they would make the 25 votes then delete the cookies and keep voting. It is just an exibition game.

So, in all reality, it doesn't really matter. It's most likely better to keep him fresh for the second half opener. Might even save a few pennies along the way with one less all-star apperance on his resume.
