Where to go?

I'm taking the family out fishing and tubing this weekend and I'm not sure where to go without driving 2 to 3 hours. I live in Apple Valley and can go in any direction. Usually we just go fishing. But tubing has now came into the mix. Are the lakes down south getting green already?. I would rather not drive to Alex either.Thanks for any help!!!

Head south! Zumbro river is a good spot to do some tubing and fishing on the same trip. The water is clear also.

Zumbrota falls has a campground (Bluff valley campground) that offers tube rentals. The fishing is pretty good too.

It should only be a hour drive from Apple valley.

I'll be floating / tubing the Zumbro River this Saturday from Zumbro Falls to Hammond. It will be a group thing with the primary intention of having a good time, but I'll have my telescopic rod along.

In Zumbro Falls, you can rent tubes, and canoes. The place is called Zumbro Valley Canoe Rentals.

I assume by "tubing" you mean pulling one behind a boat. Zumbro would still be a good option. I've heard some of the Faribault area lakes are turning green. You may want to post your question in the South Central Minnesota forum to get a better update on the lakes over in that area.
