LCX-16C and Chips ?

Is the LCX-16C capable of reading the LakeMaster MN and Nav chips.

Also I have heard the some of the 15's can and some can't read the New chips.

Lakemaster has a listing of compatibility for the different units. Accoriding to it your 16 will work with Lakemaster and Navionic classic chips. But the Navionic Gold according to the chart will not work. I am assuming that the Premium would work then either. I am pretty sure I have heard this before.

Thanks iffy, that's what I heard also, but I thought Northlander had his 15 upgraded for the newer chips but maybe it was upgraded for the older chips.
