Mantrap Lake Campground

Anyone camped there before? Heading up in mid-July...just curious if the site's are right on the water's edge, etc...what else to expect. It sounds like the boat ramp is right in the campground area, any info would be appreciated!

Its been a good 10 years since I was there, but from what I recall the sites are all up away from the lake. Also pay attention to your lake map, a lot of sandbars in the lake... I remember beaching my boat on one...

I think its a little ways, but not real far? If you have high speed internet, use Google Earth to take a look at it, or download the LMIC data from the state, that would definitely be high enough resolution to see it clearly...

Was up there a couple years back. You'll have to trailer your boat to the access. Other than that, it's a really nice campground. We didn't get on the lake cuz we were after walleyes for the first few days, and the weather went south on us and the forecast wasn't good, so we left. Was a nice place so I was sorry to leave.
