lip_ripper
Last year at the end of the gardening season my tomato plants started dieing out. Looked like they had some type of disease where the bottoms would start to brown and shrivel. It would work it's way toward the top and keep everything from ripening. Plants would become wilted and pale green.Last week I noticed he plants were starting to get pale and spots appearing on the leafs.Any ideas on what it could be or what can be done? 3pronghook
sounds like the blight. mulch around them, this will prevent the soil contact with the leaves. if plants are losing color they may need some fertilizer. follow directions on miracle grow. works great
harvey lee
Miracle grow works great, but do follow the directions. One year I used a bit much and had plants that looked like trees with no tomatoes. The plant took so much the the flowers died off.I had to cut the plant off by 18 inches to get some tomatoes. It will make the plant go crazy. Steve Foss
Miracle Gro is a good all-around fertilizer. They and others make fertilizers specifically designed and balanced for tomatoes, however, and these work best of all.
