BigTipUp
I have a 2003 sportsman 700, I have encountered a problem with it the last time I rode it, and I need some tech help.It runs fine, but if I open it up on the road... the problem shows up.At 45 mph it seems like the motor starts to float or stop climbing in speed but the rpms keep climbing.before tearing into the clutching on it ... I was hoping someone out there could give me some advice what I am up against.Thank you for any adviceBTU
deepportage01
just from what I have read about polaris on this site I would start with the new belt and then clean all the rollers and ramps. oh, and clean out the belt dust in the case too.
hookset
Is it winding out or are the RPMs what you would expect for 45 mph.joe
BigTipUp
Hookset,It seems the motor go flat, kind of a missing action with the motor... kind of like when you go in reverse with a polaris without pushing the over ride button.
