Rejuvinating Spinner Bait Skirts

I have recently found some of my old spinner baits and the skirt has a texture of dried grass aside from putting new skirts on them is there any other trick I could try in the mean time ...right now I have them soaking in dish soap with lanolin....I would try armour all but the stink would never go away
