Bass fishing dictionary

You guys ever wonder if us bassers should have our own glossary/dictionary with pictures. i was trying to explain to someone the other day what a texas rig was and what i realized is that i don't even really know exactly what a texas rig is. Is a Texas rig a hook that comes into a plastic and then out and then back in??? or is it with a weight as well? No because then you wouldn't say "texas rigged weightless"? right, but then if you think about a carolina rig don't you still use a texas rig hook. I am confused and i have been doing this for years. Let me know what all of you think and hopefully this isn't too much gobbledygook. ike

it could be done, and maybe helpfull ( and i think if you take the time to look back in this forum you will find pictures of many of these set ups!) but! the term texas rig, is/can be; yes you run the hook thru the palstic and back out ,turn the hook and slide it back into the plastic. the differences/variations are ; weightless [no weight) , or with a weight,( and either having the weight pegged[so it doesn't slide on the line] or not.yes you use/hook your plastic basically the same with a carolina rig, but then you have the sinker on your line, a bead , then a swivle, and a length of line to the lure. you will also here the term texposed! this is when you texas rig a plastic, but bring the hook pt. all the way thru the plastic and then slightly hook the pt. back into the lure .( this will allow for better hooking, and still keep it weedless.
