Waconia Muskies

Recommended Posts

I wasn't on Waconia but another west metro lake last night. Had 4 follow to boatside, 3 smaller ones and one decent fish. They are getting a little closer to being turned on........I hope. Interesting, we were moving these fish in a relatively high traffic area, pulling them up from the weeds in 6-8 feet. Didn't see anything anywhere else.

FYI: Water was almost 4 degrees warmer than it was on Monday.

I'm in a black Lund with a Yammy, the big red Rapala decals on the side are a giveaway!!!! I've been happy with what I've seen on the lake. Still replaying the one I missed on Sunday in my head.....

Last time I was able to get ou was the on the 11th. Saw nothing until about 7:30. Then around that time the muskies started moving. My buddy raised a 34-36" on a white bass-sized spinnerbait and I raised a 38-40" on a bulldawg. Plus we saw two other muskie surface around the same time.

It was P.M. It was the weekend of the Muskies Inc. Metro Tournament. Went out the next day and saw nothing. The only two times I've been out this year mad.gif. My Dodge has lived up to it's maker's reputation grin.gif. No tow, no go. The fishing has had to have picked up, the weeds should be a lot thicker since then. Anyone ever try for 'skis up real shallow on this lake (4 feet or less)?
