Slow filling gas tank

Question

I have a Northwood 16.75 Ft. with a built-in gas tank (12 gallons). The gas fill cap is located in back by the moter. The problem is filling the tank. If I try to fill the tank at a gas station, it wants to overflow. I can only put in a little at a time which takes forever. It has an air vent tube, is there anything else that can be done to help out the filling issue?

My Lund was the same way brand new. First place we took it was teh gas station, stuck the nozzle in, and opened her up full bore.

A nice gas shower is what immediatly followed.

Back to the dealer, to discover that during assemble, they didn't cut off the end of the nipple on the vent elbow that attaches to the vent hose.

A quick trim (after some dis-assembly) and it fills like a champ!!!

So if you find its not a kinked hose, it may be...you're hose doesn't have an open end!

Good luck
