starter for a 25HP Merc (1988)

hey guys and gals, i just bought a new(to me anyways) boat, and after one weekend the starter went out on the motor. Anybody know where i can find a new starter either in MN or near Davenport Iowa?

Any marine dealer ought to be able to get you what you need... unless you're talking used...

You could try twin cities outboard repair, or maybe with Valv on these Forums...

One other option would be to find a place locally that rebuilds your starter for you... that often is cheaper than getting a new one.

In Faribault go to Temple Electric on hwy 3 across from Casey, they will rebuild it for few dollars, much better than dealer or even a used one.
