Reed1
Hi,How well would it work leaving a old trailer in the water all of the time and using it as a modified lift? The boat is a older 16' lund aluminum. I would appreciate any and all advice, pro and con,Thanks for your time,ReedNo fear, No meaness, No envy. 0 cliffy
I am by no means an expert, but wouldnt leaving a trailer in the water pretty much destroy the bearings? I am assuming that water would get inside sooner or later and start to rust the bearings...and the next time you take it down the road it would probably fail. Or perhaps I misunderstood your statement.............Cliffy
0 wayne123
I assume you would not use the trailer on the road after leaving it in the lake all summer. The problem I see is getting the boat high enough out of the water so large waves do not lift the boat. Even on a boat lift you have to be careful that the boat lifts high enough so the waves cannot push it around.
