Line tangled in prop casuing problems???

hey guys just got back. buddy of mine is retarted at fishing and he manages to tangle some fireline in the prop no less than 3 times wile trolling. we cut it out and everything was fine. on the way in we opened her up to cruising speed and jerk.........jerk.......jerk.... every 10 to five seconds the motor jerks. im thinking a shear pin maybe? I havent been able to look yet and wont have time till tomorrow but i need some ideas to satr wiht. i hope its nothing big as i just got my motor out of the shop the day before for points. 60 bucks i still owe mom!!!!

Better pull the prop and look for line. If it is wrapped around the shaft it can take out the seals and then you'll have bigger issues to deal with. It's a simple check that can be worth more than ignoring the possibilities.

I don't think it'll fix your motor issues, but it'd be a good idea to check anyway.

Fire line can actually cut your drive shaft as well as take out your seals!
