luckystiff
My running lights aren't working on my trailer, but my blinkers, flashers, and brakes are working fine. Anyone have any ideas as to what is shorting out? Also, what color is the running lights associated with? Thanks!
0 Rost
Check the fuse box in your vehicle. It's the black box located just in front of the steering wheel under the hood. Same exact thing happened to my F150. I just popped the cover and started pulling fuses until I found the culprit. If this is the case, the fuse will cost you 55 cents at Napa. Hopefully this is the case. Let us know how this pans out!
0 Macgyver55
Running lights will be the brown wire. Also make sure the ground is good...it will be the white wire.
0 Jeremy airjer W
since the other lights work I would suspect that the ground is o.k. I believe the culprit here is an open cicuit in the brown wire. either a blown fuse as mentioned above or a broken wire/bad connection. I would start with the vehicle side of the plugin and check for power there with a test light. If theres power the trailer side is the culprit if there is no power the vehicle side is the culprit. Let us know what you find and good luck!!!
