Rope Lights

Anyone put rope lights in their boat for night fishing purposes? Am thinking about doing this in my 16' Lund Explorer. What are the best lights to use? Good Color to use?

I use the rope lights from Gander in my fishhouse. They work great. they are 6' long and run off my vexilar battery. Just be sure to get the L.E.D. lights.they cost about 8 bucks, good luck.

I'm also thinking about doing that. Wondering how to wire them. Let me know how it turns out for you.

I used the clam rope lights and ran them under the gunwhales on both sides (I have a sylvan, there is a 4 inch ledge that protrudes) you cannot see them when daylight. I run them from my starting battery. The floor is lit up nice and bright. I only turn them on when needed, they do attract bugs.

I am sure the white ones are really good bug lights,

I am wondering if another color would be better, if I could find 2 3' strings of yellow that would be the best.

I want to use the low current LED's. Just searching for the best price.
