hawkeye43
A coon thought it was a great home to live under the cover on the pontoon. I got the hair and all the chewing cleaned up, but don't know how to get the urine smell out of the carpet. She also sloped dirt into the seats and they didnt come clean with hot water and soap. Any body got any ideas on how to go about cleaning that???
harvey lee
Hawkeye They make a product called skunk off for getting rid of skunk spray and maybe it would work on coon urine.I will check with a friend of mine tommorrow and see if he has any left in his bottle. It works great.I think maybe you need a night vision scope to get rid of your pest. blue_healer_guy
Hawkeye, Are you sure it was a coon and not yourself after a nite out in the fishouse? I had similar "pee" from a cat last winter and just took it down to the local car wash and soaped her up and it was good to go.

icehousebob
The pet stores sell a product that removes the smell of cat urine from carpeting. It should work for racoon also. Any kind of cover scent won't do it. You'll just have a combination of the two and it might be worse.
Blaze
Try Nature's Miracle - you can get it at most pet stores. We use it for spraying down our kennel floor to eliminate urine smell and it works like a charm. Give it a shot - ain't got nothin' to lose. When something smells like coon pi$$, ANYTHING would be an improvement. On a side note: we had a similar issue with a deer stand about 5-6 years back. It was a 4'x6' box stand with roof, walls, and plexiglass windows. Big coon thought it was the perfect hangout. My uncle climbed the ladder one afternoon and opened the door - the coon's eyes about popped out! She hopped on the chair then bailed out the plexi window and flew 20-some feet to the ground. She belly-flopped and laid there for a while til she slowly crawled off. Don't think she ever went back to the box stand! Hah!
