Leaking, soggy,sloshy Crestliner bath tub

Ufatz

Question

Hey Valv, or one of you other fellas, I need some guidance on water-proofing the hatches on my 1850 Crestliner. Cannot get a response from the factory (of course) and cannot seem to locate the right stuff.I ordered some stuff from Cabela's but it will not work on this boat. Valv mentioned something last fall, when I first began my battle with my aluminum submarine. What a shame, since I like the boat and the Yamaha otherwise. But a guy is forced to take everything OUT of the boat everytime it sprinkles. As you may have noticed, its been doing that a bit lately!

Thanks Steve. If the only way I can fix it is by rebuilding the boat I'll just dump the Crestliner and buy another boat. While the factory is non-responsive, my local dealer has asked me to drop the boat off today so THEY can perhaps work with the factory people. This may be no big deal to you guys, but I am NOT used to boats that turn your gear into a soggy mess when you get an overnight shower!

I am going to take a look at the new Yamaha boats. Their motors are great-you find them all over the world when you travel to fish. We'll see what the dealer comes up with. They are pretty good people.
