Fixing a leak in Neoprene Waders?

fuzzyray

Question

Hello,

I got a decent pair of neoprene waders last year, i've gotten out and used them a few times this year and I have a small leak on one of the seams. What can be done to fix this?

Fuzzy,

I use the sportsman's goop stuff. There are a lot of the same things out there but you can find some stuff pretty cheap. I advise do NOT get the small tube as it is never enough to do much good even with a small leak.

Apply liberally and let dry for a little bit. Re-apply as needed to fill the gap or divet or tear.

Get the "Marine" Goop, made by the same company, but will hold up to water much better!!!!!!!!

Let this stuff dry over-night!!!!!!!!!!!

Will never come off. May peel a bit at the edges, so put enough on around the leak to allow for the minute peeling that may take place.

Won't leak anymore.
