wiring switch for lift

Question

valv motor to switch trc is only i foot long i would like to extend it 10 feet? is a splice feasable? motor runs the wheel switch controls the power ground fault involved castindad

marineman pontoon lift switch for motor brand name shorelander liftmate. ill try wheel rubber wheel driven by motor control up and down switch. what iwant to do is put the up and down control where the pontoon come to rest to lift so wind and waves dont move it around it also has a reset and fault for safety?

I think I know what your asking. You want to move a switch on your boat lift. I don't see a problem with a splice at the switch as long as its protected. I'd imagine your wiring is routed through a tube frame and a hole in that frame where the switch is mounted. You could leave that switch and add your wires to that switchs terminals and route the wires to another switch. Or you can take the switch out and splice on longer wires and route to a new location. You'll then make a cover at the switchs old location.
