Hey Windy,

If I remember right this spot was open last year to, I havent left it yet so its still mine. I am just waiting for this weekend's series, I am out in Vegas starting Friday morning and my money for each game will be on the Sox, no doubt about that.

Wild,

Where you stayin in "sin city". I own Vegas. That is my home away from home, love to go out there for 4 or 5 days and play non stop Texas Hold `Em. Your money is in good hands my friend, bet the Black and Silver and you will have plenty of money for the buffet lines or the G String Diva's. Depending on your "appetite". I was out in Vegas twice last year, 5 days in February at the Bellagio and also in August for 4 days at the Aladin, wanted to stay in that hotel before they changed it to Planet Hollywood. Both stays were excellent, Aladin was almost everything the Bellagio was and $300 a night cheaper. Try the Aladin buffet, also Mandalay Bay and hit the Bellagio buffet if you win a few sheckles at the tables. Have a blast and remember...If you got a hunch, bet a bunch! Later, Windy

We are staying at the Fitzgerald's downtown. I really dont care to stay on the strip, get a tad too crowded for me. Downtown the casinos are much closer and you dont have to walk as far to get to them. We go to Vegas every 6 months and its just a blast. So a Texas hold um player, I play 3 card poker when I go, you can win big and also lose big at the same time.

Wild,

I love Fitzies, we always hit downtown at least twice when we visit and I always hit Fitzies and Horseshoe for a little Texas Hold `Em. I usually hit Fitzies to play some Let It Ride with my wife. We also like to hit the Golden Nugget for a little video poker, seems to treat us good each time. I love getting a big ole drink and strolling the canapy downtown, I never get tired of the light show, especially when it features the Rat Pack, I love Sinatra, Deano and the gang. I like to look at the old neon signs and remember what Vegas used to be like when the Rat Pack ruled the roost, ah those were the days my friend. Anywho, have a great time and remember, bet a bunch if you got a hunch! Good Luck, Windy.

Windy,

I'll let you know how I do on Tuesday, I am off the rest of this week now. Hopefully win big with the Sox this weekend. I say Sox take 3 of 4 losing the game that Santana is pitching on Saturday.

Yeah The sox definitely lost. That is what I would call embarrasing. The twins have not been able to get the long ball going all year yet the Sox pitchers gave up 3 of them to the twins. It was really fun to watch them waste those White Sox. Kinda gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside and a little hope for the rest of the season. I will be moving to Northern Illinois in August but I am always going to be a Twins fan and ain't nobody gonna change that. Go Twins!!

Windy,

I ended up betting on Friday's game and lost then won my money back on Sundays game. What team scores 7 runs in 1 inning and loses the game, that will be a trivia question for years to come. Overall gambling was alright, came home with $300 more than I started. I placed a bet on the Nascar race Sat, took Kenseth @ 12/1 with $75 down placed 3rd. The weather was awesome, 100+ degree's each day. I already want to go back...

After moving Silva out of the starting rotation am wondering who they're gonna replace that dipstick Lohse with? Painful is right, geesh.

Geez Buzz,

Do you think the Twinks could manage to take a game against the Kitties? I am surprised that Backherup isn't back on the thread crowing about his quick start this year. Maybe he is laying low in case they tank, not me, you know that I crowed the entire year and it paid off in the end. Anywho, could you put a call in for a testastarone check up there in Twinkieland? Come on guys, you managed to take 2 of 4 against us and then don't return the favor to the Kitties, what gives? My boys took care of business tonight, still in first, though tied. YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD...YES! Windy

Well they brought up Boof Bonser, the name instills confidence... NOT. Lets hope for better results from him and farewell to Lohse, he should bring his arbitrator friend to AAA as well! As far as the kitties go, give them credit... great bats, pitching has really improved and they are getting production from everybody which is very helpful. Poor Yohan pitched his arse off last night and deserved a better fate.

Buzz,

Maybe the Twinks should have had the Kitties wear black and silver uni's, then Yo-Han would have beaten them for sure. Cripes, we dump 2 of 3 to the D-Rays and the Twinks get swept....what the heck is this world coming to. Don't these teams know who they are playing. The Kitties better come back to earth soon or they will start thinking that they can actually win the division this year, like the Tribe started to think last year (there is a flash in the pan). Hopefully we can fatten up on Geno's Cubbies, it's always fun pounding on the loveable losers for a few games each year. Oh well, let the games begin. Later, Windy

...(formerly known as "BackHerUp").

Yeah Windy, I'm here...personally, I'd like to see the Tigers win their division or get a Wild Card spot. They have the talent both in their starting rotation and bullpen. The lineup is good enough too, as evidenced by the home runs, their OBP, their overall batting avg., etc.

The problem I see, is they lack experienced depth. When the injuries start to mount (and they will happen), I'm not sure the backups can sustain what the starters have accomplished thus far. For spot starts its working great right now...and maybe, that will lead to the confidence they'll need when the utility guys inherit a more regular role, due to injuries and such. We'll just have to wait and see. But in the meantime, I'm enjoying the angst my Tigers have created in the baseball world and cherish "the surprise Tigers" comments by analysts, which were no surprise to me at all, having amassed the talent they currently possess.

The surprise to me was the extent and prevalent amount of injuries (i.e; Bobby Higginson's leg and back, Fernando Vina's career ending knee injury, Matt Anderson's career ending shoulder injury and Fernando Rodney's "Tommy John" surgery 2 yrs ago, and last year...Magglio Ordonez' sports hernia, Carlos Guillen's knee surgery and Troy Percival's elbow surgery) the Tigers had to endure and overcome recently that deterred what they may have accomplished under Alan Trammell (not to this extent, of course). Because a lot of the credit to the amazing performance this year of their young pitching staff (besides the acquisition of Kenny Rogers) goes to former pitching coach Bob Cluck who worked and counseled a young Mike Maroth through his 20 game losing season and recommended a "shut down" of Jeremy Bonderman the last 2 years in August when his arm began to fade from fatigue (rather than hurt him), leaving Justin Verlander and Joel Zumaya at Double-A Erie for 2 years before bringing them up to Toledo and Detroit last season, etc...

It's nice to see the payoff though...and hopefully it will last. We're a quarter of the way through the season already and the Tigers are holding their own thus far...fingers are crossed hoping no devastating injuries are looming in the shadows!! -- AndyMan (a.f.k.a: BackHerUp)
