I have the lms 332 w/external puck. my buddy has the 334 w/internal antenna. my boat was in my garage and his was outside. we turned our finders on at the same time. Mine was in the garage and was waas enabled in about 30 seconds. His was outside and after 5 min it was locked onto sats but not waas enabled. I think I like the puck better. My 2 cents...

IF you have the GPS mounted out in the open, then the internal antenna will probably work fine. However, if it is somewhat hidden or obscured in an electronics compartment, etc., you will run into problems locking onto a signal with an internal antenna, and I would go with the external antenna...
