hail damage

andy j

Question

Guys, wondering if you have had any experiences with minor hail damage to vehicles? We had a quick golfball sizes hail storm come through last night and my wifes car and my truck have some small dents on the hood and roof. I have heard of some paintless service companies that are supposed to do a good job. Wondering how much $. But I have no experience with this. Any do it yourself tools that actually work? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a friend who had hail damage to his new car a number of years ago (ten I think) the insurance company totaled the car, he bought it back for them and pocketed a nice chunk of change...he still drives the golf ball

I have heard that if you wait until a really sunny hot day and you put an ice cube on the dent and hgold it that the dent will pop out, never tried so i dont know if it will work or not though. sounds a lot like wishful thinking.

Call Dent Wizard. They are mobile and relatively cheap. They might be able to give you a rough estimate over the phone. They will need to know how large they are and how many panels are damaged and how many dents are on each panel.

Good luck,

Corey Bechtold

p.s.

That Ice cube trick is a wives tale and there really isn't anything that you can buy from Wal-Mart that will do a good job. (I do Autobody for a living tongue.gif)
