Geno it don't get better than this. Knocking off early to watch it on WGN and I think Saturday's game maybe on WGN and Sunday night on ESPN. Great rivalry, Carp and Zambrano Saturday and watching Pujols and Lee go at it with the sticks. Yeah baby...

That was a good game to be a pitcher and a bad game to hit in. Man that wind was something else. Took care of two Cardinal bombs, Edmonds and Rodriquez's. They should have been concentrating on hitting line drives, oh well. I tip my hat to the future hall of famer Greg Maddux he looked good.

Geno thanks for trying to give us the game with the shortstop errors but our bullpen wasn't having it and gave it right back. D Lee's shot was smoked! WGN had the Sox and Royals on yesterday crazy.gifand I watched that game. It seems those ex Cardinals now Royals Grudz and Sanders had a great deal of presence in that game. Like Hawk said, The Royals are not a team to take likely..

Hey Buzz,

Ole Geno must be getting a "Cubby Chubby" right about now. The northsiders are beating up on the Cards again, though, remember last year, the Cards pounded their division in a run away and the Cubs pounded the Cards, though that was about the only team they were able to pound. Later, Windy

Buzzy it's early yet and the Cubs always amp up for the Cards. It's still early and a 3 and 3 road trip could have been much worse. Our club is older they need warmer weather. Just watching Luna taking a cut and the bat splintering as he popped a single to right. The camera panned in on Luna at first as he was violently shaking his arms and hands. Man do I remember that feeling. Face it nobody likes playing in the cold. No excuses however., congrats Mean Gean!

CNY Tim,

Holy Cow! Who'd a thunk it possible without Wood and Prior?

Never underestimate Cub Power, huh? Were the Cards throwing rubber balls to the plate this series? If the Cards lose the division by 3 or fewer, I will remind you of this early season sweeeeeeeeep.

Cubbie Chubbie, Windy? Good one - who needs viagra when a sweep will do just fine. The gals are already wanting to know when the next Cub/Card series is.

Barrett and Jones did some awesome damage for you guys. With Ronnie Cedeno, Jacque Jones and Juan Pierre I like what the Cubs have done and speed will pay off even more when the weather warms. I think the ESPN announcers had it right when they said the problems with you frankly and Cub's faithful is putting to much stock in Prior and Wood. Zambrano has been there #1 for a while and I think these guys can rally around these 3-4 and 5 starters for the Cubs and when Ramirez heats up they will putting up some big numbers in the run column. Gene they scare me right now. If Prior and Woods come back great but I think they will contend right now with what they have.

If I were Ramirez I'd shoot the Cubs grounds keeper. When they went field level an I saw the 3" to 5" drop from the infield grass to the dirt If I were Aramis I'd be wearing a helmet with a face guard over there, geez...

Yeah, I happened to see the late-game grounder that got past Rolen as he tried to pick the bad hop to his left.

Speed would be great to see on the NSide - GoGo Cubs. Windy ought to like me using an ol' ChiSoxism. Combined with power, solid pitching and relief, the speed will give us much more opportunity to put pressure on the other team.

I love the Thome move., Jim's filthy and it seems players that leave the city of brotherly love play harder, I don't know why that is but Jim's healthy now and that elbow he had trouble with is a non issue. He will hit high 40's for homeruns this year.

The cards are having a problem driving in runs once we get the table set. Thank cripes Mulder hit that 2 run shot in the bottom of the 7th. Our bull pen is still fricked up. Just so you guys know other than Carpenter, Mulder, Marquis, Suppan and Ponson are eleigible for free agency the end of the season. 6-4 That's a winner!

Tim, thats a great new Busch Stadium the cards got down there, looks awesome!

How long is it going to be before Albert hits a HR bomb over the arch.

Albert hit a solo shot that I think went 440' in the opener so he's getting warmed up. laugh.gif The Cardinals pitching staff was betting on which starter would get the first homerun in the new stadium. Most bet on Jason Marquis grin.gif They did a fine job on the new ball park. They should have the left field upper deck section finished shortly. Pretty sight with the downtown skyline and arch in the back round.
