bpoli2
Looking at purchasing a GPS for the vehicle. Have narrowed it down to the Garmin c330 StreetPilot or the Lowrance iWay 500c. Looking for any advise from those that may have one or the other and any pro's or con's about either. Thanks in advance.
0 bmc2b
I have a garmin ique 3600 which is a gps palm pilot. I can use it throughout the day at work, then in the car when traveling, voice activated directions, auto route, etc. I think garmin has a slight edge with automotive gps, and Lowrance with marine gps because of compatability with aftermarket map chips. I'd look at the ique 3600 along with the c330, but go with garmin for the car.
0 Surface Tension
Do you have a laptop? All you need is a USB GPS WAAS antenna and software like Microsoft Streets & Trips. You can get both as a package for under 100 bucks.
0 DanL
I have the Lowrance 500 and am very pleased with the unit. The unit is very user friendly has has a good sized screen for viewing. Also, Lowrance's web site is offering a rebate on the unit. Good luck
