Bud
I ask the MN DNR about the ideal temps for walleye and this is the answer i recieved. Hope someone finds it interesting.Hello,I was asked to respond to your question. Walleye prey consumption is high over a temperature range from about 65 to 75 F. The ideal temperature for walleye growth is around 71-73 F, beyond which the rate of growth slows. The upper temperature at which walleye cease to grow is around 82 F. BDR
For spawning In Northern lakes it is 40-45 degrees, in southern climates it is 50-55 degrees.
Eye-lander
I'd say 42-47 degrees. I actually prefer the colder temps, for when I find the fish they seem to be more schooled than in warmer temps. They may not be as aggresive, but they tend to be more bunched up and concentrated at the steapest breaks available.
