The Canada geese (thus the eh? in the title) finally showed up on our expanding open water around Ely. These are from today. It was hard to stay steady. I was shooting with the Canon 20D and Canon 100-400L image stabilizer while standing part-way out of my truck, and there were a couple pups from a nearby house that kept wanting to jump up on me. Mud, licking, DOWN BOY! Thank God for image stabilization. Sheesh!

If you squint your eyes a little bit at the first image of the goose butts, it looks a little bit like porpoises sticking their heads out of the water with their mouths open. Flipper, anyone?

iso400, 1/1000 sec (one full stop overexposed), 400mm (640mm with 1.6 Canon 20D conversion factor), f8.
