slow pitch softball bat

Softball bats are like golf clubs... Everyone swings different...so you will prolly get a mixed result of responses here. but he is my choicee.

1. Miken "The Freak" (probably the scariest bat i have seen due to incredible ball speed off of the bat. And scariest for pitchers to see that sitting in the hands of the guy in the box!

2. Mizuno...(the orange bat) not a big sweet spot like "The Freak" ...but yet a great bat.

3. Worth EST.. Black or Blue... Great bat..has alot of pop initially...but tends to get worn out alot faster then the other 2 listed about. This bat is the kind of bat that makes the "Tingy" noises when hiting a ball..also its not made of compostie metal...so it likes dent alot easier.

All of the bats listed are made to be used in 45-50+ degree weather..

Hope this helps.

Agree with the Miken Freak, but to fully answer this question, would need to know if your league is USSSA or ASA sanctioned. ASA has stricter rules than USSSA.

All Bats for ASA have a rule that they cannot come off a bat faster than 98 miles an hour. Thus Freak made a bat called the Freak 98. The original Freak I believe did get the ASA stamp put on it and might be able to be used, but finding one of those is very hard and can be expensive, hsolist is always selling them upwards of $350.

Miken also has the Maniac for both USSSA and ASA and are also very good bats. I believe the 585 would be USSSA Certified and the 484 could be used for both leagues.

Just my opinion, but Miken has taken the lead in the bat industry and you cannot go wrong with any of the Miken bats whether you go with the ASA or USSSA sanctioned bats.

Demarini makes a good bat too. I have been swinging a 2004 F2 the last couple of seasons and I like it. Here is a link to ASA that has recently been updated. Check this out before your purchase a bat if ASA is your governing body.

the old miken freak is probably the best softball bat on the market. the ball just flies off of it. You can use them in ASA leagues, not sure on the other. If i were looking for a softball bat to buy, i would not hesitate on buying the freak. not the freak 98.

Freak is awesome but expensive around 300 bones for 200 you can get a orange mizuno and they are nice bats, have had one for 2 seasons. This is if cost is a issue. Sli
