Gophers vs St. Cloud

Anybody have any predictions for tonight? My son and I went to the game last night and I have to say the goalie for the poodles looked pretty good. UMD had something like 35 shots on goal although there were not very many good scoring chances. I am still wondering why UMD didn't pull their starting goalie and put in Reichmuth - Man, that guy has been scary good in the past.

You're probably close in your prediction...I'll take the Gophers 3-1, though...lower scoring.

I'm actually rooting for St. Cloud...put another Minnesota and WCHA school in the NCAA Tourney. St. Cloud would probably need to win the Final Five to get the automatic berth, though.

I think you're right with the 3-1 score but you've got the wrong team on top. The fact is St. Cloud is the best defensive team in the league , with the best goalie , the best penalty kill , and as of late scoring more goals than they have at any time in the past two years . St Cloud will win this game.

The Gophers will win. They just have too much offensive power and although Goepfert has been playing great I don't think they'll be able to stop them. I can't say I agree with St. Cloud scoring more goals as of late. They've only scored 3 goals or more twice in the last 10 games (not including last night). They are going to need at least 3 to beat the Gophs. It is interesting though that these teams haven't met since the end of October.

I wish I could have some beers but they wouldn't be green. I'd drink a real Irish beer...Guinness. I wont be able to watch the game cuz I gotta work but I am recording it on the DVR and will watch it when I get home at 11:30 tonight. I just hope some of you guys won't be passed out before the game is over. I look forward to logging back on after I'm done watching the game so we can see who's right. I have confidence in the Huskies, I attend almost every home game in the capacity of Goal Judge, So I know they've got the talent to whoop some rodent tail. It's going to be a matter of legs for them though. I hope they all got their rest last night. Talk at y'all tonight.

Well we are getting bombed and I hope it sets a fire under their arses for the NCAA's. It's 5-2 for SCSU right now and every one of their goals has been tipped ot fluky... with that being said they are outplaying us!

What a game!!! My Huskies finally pull through! It's hard be a Husky fan when you are married to a Gopher fanatic. I just hope they have some legs left for tomorrow nights game.

That was a great game to watch if you weren't a gopher fan, but Since I'm a gopher fan, it was an awful game. Two periods of uninspired hockey by the maroon and gold. They deserved to lose. My hats off to the huskies they played awesome.

BTW I'm not looking forward to the next few years with that awful goalie Frazee, I fringe every time the other team shoots when he's in net.

hopefully this is a wakeup call for the over confident gophers going into the NCAA.

Your funny Rolly you have played the game to long to believe that, you know this game meant nothing and was probably a good thing for the Gophs, you also know anything can and will happen in the NCAA tourney, and I think you'll agree the Gophs are still clearly the best team in the nation but will need to play great and get good/lucky breaks to win it all.

Holy Cow what a game last night. Turns out I got a ticket and sat in a suite for the game. Had to leave work early, to get down there in time, but it was so worth it. I have to hand it to the Gophs, they played very well. Potulny is a god. What a game. It was totally surreal in that building, with all the scoring, I wasn't sure if it was hockey or football. Man, I'll tell ya the championship game tonight is going to be something too. I can't wait! GOOOOO HUSKIES!!!!

I've never seen a marginal goal. It's either in or it's not. And they were all in.
