I don't have any pics but I'll give some advice.

My shack is a 7x12 so its a little bigger than yours.

Bunks-I have the bunks on the ends and they fold up against the wall, so I have 4 beds in the house.

Holes-I also put my holes near the ends so when the bunks are down, there are only 2 holes you can fish out. If I were to do it again, I would have more holes near the center so the bunks wouldn't have to be up to fish them.

Siding- Kind of depends on what you want to use and how much you want to spend. I have pole barn steel on my shack and it is very nice. The aluminum siding that is used on a lot of the commercial houses is pretty sweet as well. I would stear clear of vinyl siding. Its very easy to damage. And of course, there is always just good old plywood. Paint it if you want.

Paneling-A cheap interior would be 1/4" Luaun plywood. It looks real nice as well once you put a couple coats of spar varnish (outdoor polyurethane) on it. There are many other good options out there but Luaun plywood is going to be the cheapest.

Lights-I got my RV style lights from Camping World. I mounted 3 to the ceiling and ran all the wires behind the paneling down to my battery. I run the lights off of a deep cycle marine battery. Works good!

Fans-12v fans are available from JC Whitney. Its nice to have a little air circulation.

Thats the basics. There are many components that go into an ice shack.

How are you heating it? Thought about hole covers, carpet, shelving, cabinets, windows, door at all?

hey thanks for the reply i was thinking about putting a bunk on each of the 6 foot sides and one alone the 10 foot side so that when u walk in the door u would have a bunk in front of u and one on each side and having them be permanent with storage undearneath and putting a hole on each side of the door and the one in each corner where the bunks meet... how much would u figure it would cost for the kind of siding u have on ur house to do my 6x10

I think you would probably be best off to have the bunk on each end of the house be permanent w/ storage underneath, and then have the one along the 10' wall be hinged so you can fold it up against the wall.

You'll find that if you had all your bunks permanent w/ storage underneath, you aren't left with much floor space.

Another idea would be to go with bunkbeds on one end of the house so you have 1 high & 1 low and have both of them fold up to the wall. Then on the other end, you could make a permanent bunk/couch w/ storage underneath.

You really don't need too much "underbunk" storage but it is nice to mount some shelves up high to put stuff on.

I got my Pole Barn siding at Menards and can't remember what it cost. You might want to stop by there, tell them how big your house is going to be and how high, and they'll give you a cost for the materials (siding, trim pieces, screws, etc.)

All I can say is it will cost you more than you think it will. I went Waaaayyy overbudget on my house. grin.gif
