STF- maybe one of my fave picts I have seen yet!!! I just love the color contrast! Anf the little Red on the wing of the bird matches the berries.. almost looks like an oil paining!

Deitz, you may not know it but you just paid me the compliment I most like to hear. If I could paint as well as wildlife artists like Robert Bateman, for example, I'd never pick up a camera again.

But I can't. I need existing elements and a mechanical device (electronic device, these days), to express myself visually. Thing I like most to do is take a photo that looks more like a painting. That spinning boreal chickadee I posted yesterday on this board is another such image, though in a different way. A bit more like an impressionistic painting.
