I was just wondering what everyone thought of the two petty cars in the top ten with Bobby in the top five of his duel race. I've been A Labonte fan for a long time so I'm hoping its the real deal just wondering what everyone else thought.

I thought it was nice to see those two up in the order. Only concern I would have is that they raced against about 1/2 of the good cars. Throw in the other good cars from the other duel, and they may be looking at a top 10 and top 15 instead of top 5 and top 10. Too hard to say really, only speculation right now. I'd have to say they will be better than last year though with the changes they made. I don't know if I'd expect Kyle to win this year, but I would expect Bobby to win this year, and contend to win more than he did last year. I like them both though....both good guys.

How can a person not be happy for the Petty Teams, and Bobby is one class act!!! Nothing better than seeing the #43 up front again!!!

Yeah it's great to see those two up near the front for once.

I'm not the biggest Dodge fan, but i've been a Labonte fan for ever so I'm glad that it's worked good for those guys so far. Lets see what they can do with all the cars on the track.

My wife is a big Bobby fan and really likes the fact that he is upfront. My question is if he was getting the second stuff from Gibb's is that still better then Petty's top stuff?

I think Petty has made some big moves to really try to improve their program again. I can't say that they "should of" done anything in the off-season that they didn't do (well maybe its time for a new driver for the 45 car but I wouldn't expect that just yet). They brought in two Cup winning crew chiefs from POWERHOUSE organizations and a Cup winning driver from another upper echelon team and they are now getting their motors from Evernham and building new cars with Loomis and Parrot's input. There is no way they can't be better than what they have been.

There seemed to be other issues with Bobby at Gibbs, besides second tier equipment. I just think things had gotten stale there and they all needed a change. Bobby went right in the tank there after they fired Fatback 1 1/2 years ago (remember he was like 6th in the points at the time...). I personally think it may have something to do with primadonna Tony being king there...
