Satelite Dish

I've seen them on fishhouses b4 and was just wondering things such as cost, signal allianment, guess any input would help as I've been thinking about it for awhile. Just dumb when it comes to that stuff.

Normally you pay an extra 5 bucks a month for additional receiver in your home. Alignment is easy to setup. All you need is a compass. In the menu select setup and follow the procedures.

I guess I was thinking of putting one on my fishhouse would it be any difference than in a home?

Get the system and mount a dish at home and find a used dish for your ice house. Doesn't matter if the second dish is a Dish Network or DTV because they are interchangeable. When you go to your ice shack take the receiver with you. When you go back home take the receiver home too.

Hold the phone ST, a used system will require a new access card which you will have to purchase from your provider. I highly suggest you goto Dish Network.

Chunk, actually you brought up a good point, don't buy used DTV or Dish systems because you wont be able to subscribe with them.

What about power? Do you use a generator or a inverter. Also how long would the battery last if you used a inverter?

I think it would be great watch satelite tv in the fish house.

Use an inverter. You'll run a small color TV and receiver all weekend long and then some. Done it many times.
