Where to buy a trolling motor?

Hey everybody -
Does anybody have any suggestions on where a reasonable place to pick up a trolling motor is? Would be for a 1970's 14' fiberglass Glastron boat. Not sure on the weight, but was thinking at least a 42lb bow mount? I plan on getting a newer boat in a couple of years so don't really want to drop a lot into this one. Thanks!

I have one you could buy. It is about three years old, but hasn't been used in two. It has been painted though a marsh brown color as I used it on my duck boat. It is a 42 lb thrust power drive. Make sure you get the long shaft!!!

Keep in mind that even if you don't plan on keeping the boat that long, you can always remove the motor and install it on your next rig.

I would recommend getting a higher grade MinnKota. You do get what you pay for with them. I used the same transom mount for 8 years before it needed replacing, and I used that motor ALOT in alot of different conditions.

Check the sales, most stores around the cities will ahve pretty good sale prices from time to time on trollers.

Try a Minnkota service shop. They usually have good used motors on hand.

Pick a new model out of a catalog and call The Bobber Shop in Mankato they can get you a sweet deal on a factory rebuilt motor directly from Minnkota in Mankato with a warranty. Well worth a trip down.
