Cold Front

When you here a cold front comes through the region. How long does it take til the fish return to normal activity or feeding habits if there is not another temp change? Does it matter on species of fish? Thanks for any help.

I have found that in the winter a cold front will actually improve the bite!

Summer cold fronts are a different story though!

In the summer it may take as long as 3 days for a bite to pick up again.

I'm With Cliff on this one. In fact it seems as soon as the water begins to cool, cold/cool fronts spur activity the rest of the season. This is usually when I like to hit them with some of those plastics tails from Little-Atom.

In my experience targeting the aggressive biters with no bait more often than not is the way to go during fronts.
