Bow Mount Sonar?

Beef46

Question

I have an Eagle Cuda I want to mount on the bow of my boat but I am not sure how to go about running the tranducer cord so it doesn't get in the way of the trolling motor if I used a clamp to put the transducer on the motor. I have heard about transducer pucks inside the trolling motor.

Anyone have any suggestions for either clamp mounted transducer or transducer pucks??? Or maybe a better way to mount the transducer I have altogether.

Thanks in advance.

This spring i put the ducer on my bow mount trolling motor. I have some issues with the cable. More that i worry about cutting it in half. The way i have it there seems to be some hassle with cables here and there as i have not fully explored tying it off better. Once the motor is up or down it all falls into place and works fine. I really like the performance it gives though.

Maybe I can get a picture if I can find my camera.
They make a clamp for puck transducers.
Run the cable though the forward handle. Leave enough sag in the transducer cable to where it won't get caught in the prop and use a wire tie to secure the cable to the base of your units head. Nowhere should the cable be secured to the shaft. Run the rest of the cable through the motors coiled cable. I've rigged many sounders this way and have never had a problem with interference or snagging the cable in the motor.
