GoodToGo
Stayed at Muskie Bay after cancelling out of the trip planned to Pipestone. Conditions on Crow and nearby lakes are good. Lakes were pretty much free of slush, and most of the recent snow had slushed up and froze. Portages were rough, but completely snow covered. Fishing was very slow, painfully slow. Reports as recently as Wednesday were that they were really snapping, but the cold front put a stop to that. It was 5 degrees Monday morning, quite a bit colder than home. My last trip was good, so I guess the law of averages is at work.
Duffman
Thanks for the report and update on conditions, I've got four weeks from Thursday to wait until I'm chasing dem trout on Crow. Too bad you didn't get into them, but that's fishing, especially for them lakers sometimes. Better luck next time.
Down Deep
Good to GoDid you go to LOW for crappies. What lakes did you fish for trout?
GoodToGo
No, I have not fished crappies up there, just trout. We fished Crow and another nearby lake I'd prefer not to name. It hurts to even name Crow, even though I only caught one fish there. I'm one of those secretive types.
