0 Guest
Ok, just got home and checked out the exact specs and here it is. The rod is a Fenwich TechnaAV AVC70MHMC 1 piece muskie rod with a Abu Ambassadeur 6600 SSC3 Series reel. So far, everythings been smooth and I have YET to catch a fish with.Funny story is, About 2 weeks ago, I was on the St. Croix and I had put the Fenwick away and was trolling with my 7ft Ugly Stick spinning rod with a Spider Cast spinning reel. I managed to land a 36" northern with that cheap rod and reel. :::shrugs::: I guess you don't really have to have a really expensive setup to catch fish.Thomas,How long have you had your setup? 0 Scoot
Yep. I did a lot of muskie reel snooping a while ago and for sklunge fishing the C3 is considered a great buy by almost all I spoke with. Without knowing anything about the rod you bought other than length and company, I can only say it's a decent length for getting started. You should be in good shape. Watch out or before you know it you'll be like me- three custom made rods, new reels, and a ton of muskie lures to boot! ------------------Scoot RodsbyEngel: custom made fishing rods
0 Guest
Well, muskie fishing is new to me so I went into Joes sporting goods and asked them to set me up with a new muskie rig with a budget of only 400.00 =/ they put together the rod "lifetime over the counter warranty", the reel, power pro line, alot of lures and accessories. My wife is giving me the "Oh my gosh" look already. Now, all I need is a BOAT to chase the muskies!!
